Fiber/My Ghost Love Jam
Patrick LaBahn

I always love to see you smile, and it breaks my heart to see you sad
But I'm glad that I was there to comfort you, and I know you would do the same for me
And I know that sometimes my songs can seem a bit sad, find my underlying message of hope
And this is a song that you can sing out loud when alone
Or a song to sing when you wanna come home

And I can be the hop in your step and
I wouldn't mind being the oxygen in your breath
Well, I can be your faint scent of perfume
Or I can be the orange sun hanging low on your late afternoon, and

I love hearing you sing, and I
Hope you love hearing me, too
And if it'd make you happy, I'd sing 'til my teeth fell out
and then I'd just learn how to whistle all my tunes
So for now, I'll just have to do

And I can be the swing in your set
And I can be the nape in your neck
I can be the memories that you hold onto
when you need to remember people still love you, and

I can be the rock in your bottom, and I
I can be the gin in your tonic
Or I could be the gravity that holds together space
or I could be your tightly held lips that don't reveal your secret places
So for now, I'll just have to do

I never gave you three reasons,
No, I never gave you two reasons
No, I could never give you one reason
I could never give you one reason
One reason not to live or one reason to be sad
One reason to feel blue, no one reason not to live

Woah, oh

When I'm a ghost, I'll haunt your little home
Maybe even get to hold your hand
I'll make you toast and bring you breakfast in bed
but you gotta promise not to be afraid

And you'll say, "Pat why did you come back?
And what you think you're doing in my home?"
Well, this was fun, but I'm not sure if I'm done
So I came back to go hang out with you

Why'd you pick me? Well, that's easy to see
I think you're great, and death just isn't death alone
Well, I'm glad that you came back
but you know some day you're gonna have to go, woah

And I don't know, and you've got that winning smile
I think you should wear it for a while
And I can't feel, but I wish I could
So I could give you one last kiss goodbye

Don't forget me when you’re old and you can't see
At least remember how the old times used to be
Well, I'd come to visit you
but I think it's just about time for you to come visit me, oh

Doo doo doo doo doo

Don't forget me when you're old and you can't see
At least remember how the old times used to be
Well, I'd come to visit you
but I think it's just about time for you to come visit me, oh
